Michael is going to Beijing!
Please congratulate Coach Michael D'Asaro on being named the U.S.
Paralympic fencing coach for the 2008 Beijing Olympics! He will
be spending the entire month of September in China, preparing his team
for competition on the world stage. Good luck in Beijing!
Upcoming Tournaments
The fencing season is winding down, and there are just a few more
tournaments in our area. For fencers over the age of 13, there is an Open event in
San
Luis Obispo on May 25th. Our own Coach Michael D'Asaro Jr., is
organizing a tournament in honor of his father, Maestro D'Asaro, Sr. .
The 'Stro
Memorial will be held at Cal Tech on June 8th. This is an
event will be an Open and Y14 tournament, so plan on attending and make
your coach proud.
A Couple of Gentle Reminders
Please remember that there are coaching fees for local tournaments:
$15 for the first event, $5 each event after.
Also, regarding lessons: the cancellation policy is for
notification the night before or you will be charged a lesson.
